Sympathy Needed - Please

Well its week 15 weigh day and this week I have lost ....weight for it (please note the spelling is on purpose) ....drum roll....0.1KG this week - I have lost a total of 0.4kg or 1 lbs so far this month....Blah

I would appreciate no posts that tell me at least the scales are down and a loss is a loss... I have worked HARD for that miserable 0.6Kg..I have burnt around 8000 calories on that damn bike and ridden about 200 miles...My bum hurts when I sit on it now...

The only consolation is that I do feel changes in my body shape, I feel the muscles coming back in my legs...But I still need to see the scales down.....

I have booked a game of golf for 6 am tomorrow before work,by the end it will in 80% humidity and around 35C, I will walk that course and sweat and sweat , I will come straight home and weigh myself...I hope to see a water loss that puts me at 19KG loss....

Now - please send me your comment of sympathy ...

Thanks in Advance

  3. You have my sympathies. Just think, all the muscle building will mean you'll have ripper of a weight loss week coming up really soon......I hope.

  4. You can have sympathy, empathy and all sorts of understanding. I felt crap over having lost only 1lb between end of March and yesterday and I hadn't even done any exercise, so I can totally understand how you must feel VERY hard done by.
But muscle weighs more than fat, etc, etc, and all that jazz that you've heard before. Doesn't make it any better though, does it, when those blasted scales don't give you the numbers you were hoping for?

  5. I'm kind of there too, haven't lost much since starting smashed foods. Scales suck.
But here is the sypathy act, I'll re-gift the underwear and throw in some stained white undershirts with yellowed arm pits.

  7. Hang in there-- more weight loss is a given. If you get lost in the details of the day to day changes on the scales, it will make you crazy.
I'd say, focus on your activity and healthy intake for a few days, stay off the scales and takes some deep breaths.
You are doing great-- say that to yourself over and over until you are sure you mean it!!
    Cheers.

  9. I'm sorry Andrew. You always hear from the people who think they have all the answers, "It's a simple formula of calories in versus calories out. Just eat less and move more. Put your fork down and step away from the table." But it's not really that simple, is it? I'm in the same boat, my friend. Hang in there.

  11. You have my sympathy! Weightloss is hard work - especially when you are doing all the right things and are getting minimal feedback! Hang in there - your body is in shock - it's gotta be. Before you know it, your body will get the message that it's all good and the scale Gods will tell you fabulous things! Hang in there!

And have fun sweating bricks tomorrow!

  12. Andrew, pookie! It will get better, no doubt. This is a rough time, it took a FEW fills for me to get some really good numbers. You aren't gaining, you are still losing - that is great! Keep up the good work on the exercise bit and it WILL all come together.

BTW, I think you should take Fat Bastard up on his offer - how can you say no to stained undershirts with yellow pit stains! <3

  13. It totally sucks to lose so little when you are working so much. But you are down more than 18 Kg. overall in just a few months. See I didn't say that a loss is a loss!

  14. Oh I empathize! I do! When you're working your butt off and doing all the right things and the scale doesn't move you really don't give a crap how your clothes feel. You want something IN WRITING that attests to all the work you've done. See my post from a few days ago! Here is my sympathy for you, on a silver platter!

  15. Sympathy....
1 pound does suck, but you are definitely gaining muscle and that's better in the long run. Try to focus on the clothes and hopefully you'll get a big drop soon.

  17. Take a bat and smash that freaking scale into a million little pieces. Then get a new one and show it what will happen if it misbehaves. Just sayin' can't hurt. You definitely have my sympathy.
