Can anyone tell me please, if you respond to comments made on your blog, do they get back to the comment originator , or do you need to respond directly on their blog ??
If the person opts to receive email notifications about all future comments made after theirs, then yes, they will know if you reply to them. However, there's no way of knowing if people are opting for the email notification - and I can tell you that I do not. The emails could run away from you. If I want to make sure that someone sees my comment about their comment, or otherwise, I leave it on their blog.
Hi ...just found your blog. I only ask for an email if I left a question and hope for an answer. Look forawrd to your journey and it seems like you have had a heap of rain there.
When I leave comments on someone's blog, I return every so often to that posting's comments to see if the blogger has said anything, just as I will in the next couple of days to your blog to see if you've left a comment (not just to me, but to anybody else). I enjoy that aspect of blogging too. Sometimes they come over to my blog and leave a comment to what I left on theirs, which I consider really nice and super polite, but I recognise that most people don't. Blogging is also an imperfect and impersonal medium: you may leave regular comments on someone's blog, but they never recognise it or (seem to) visit yours, and it's easy to just assume "they don't like you". In other words, our usual neuroses are being applied to blog silence!! I do think politeness in blogging brings its own rewards though. Hope you're enjoying it! Caroline
I visit all of the blogs on my list , even if i do not leave a comment , thanks for your comment , I think I will reply to the comments on my actual blog , unless a very specific answer is required...

ReplyDeleteThanks ladies ... I think I will generally reply on my Blog unless there is a very specific reply then I will reply on the commenters blog....
ReplyDeleteI agree with LDSwims. I don't have it setup to get all notices, but I do have it setup to get e-mails when someone leaves a comment on my blog!
